As I am the newest member of the EcoSpeed team, I wanted to share with you how things are going here. I joined EcoSpeed in late summer when the Kickstarter was just a dream. As a rider for the past 6 years, I was as excited as you when I realized how many people where going to be able to take advantage of a system that I have come to love and appreciate every day. Working with Brad on your kickstarter was an incredible experience.

What I never imagined, in a million years, was how many parts it takes to make just one system and the process involved in getting the parts ready to put together. I’ve picked up metal cut from two different mills in town to turn around and deliver the parts to anodizing but only after every little part was buffed out to ready for the process. I’ve been to places that just carry nuts and bolts and picked up 100’s of screws and even discovered new type screws called button screws. As an avid seamstress you can well imagine that this was my favorite screw. Did you know they even have companies that make nothing but spacers, sort of like a washer only bigger that fits between one part or another and that it takes about 5 different sizes for one kit? We had a new local company create our custom cranks and they are beautiful. They were whisked away to anodizing and should be back first of next week. All of the parts that needed your special color are being anodized as I write this and I get to pick up soon.

Watching this process has given me such pride to be a part of a team that is striving to create something so beautiful with every attention given to the details and so dedicated to work with local companies and companies who are proudly still making the parts here in the United States. I am also honored to be working with the team of EcoSpeed as they work each day tirelessly to keep the process going and to finish creating your kits. I know that it’s taken longer than we all thought but I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. From beginning to end, this has been a labor of love from Brad Davis, our general manager and he will not rest until each and everyone of you is out riding your new systems and experiencing the EcoSpeed rush.
