BAFANG 750W BBS02

from $586.50

Bafang motor kit, BBS02 750W Mid-Drive:

This kit comes with crank arms, throttle, brake levers with cut off switch, main wire harness, mounting hardware for 68-73mm bottom brackets, Anderson Powerpole connector for battery, and 46t steel chainring.

Prior to shipping we program the internal software to have unlocked throttle response as well as 0-9 levels of pedal assist at reasonable gradient steps. Most riders are happy with this programming, but if you want to make changes you can do so by purchasing this _________

After installing hundreds of kits for our local riders, there are two favorite display options that we recommend: 500c and p850c. They both show more accurate battery levels when used with 52v batteries rather than 48v, (52v being our favorite of the two for climbing and acceleration power).

Choose the 500c for a more compact and visually unobtrusive look, where the thumb controls of your pedal assist are integrated into the display, located on the left side of your handlebar.

Choose the p850c for a central location above the handlebar stem, with a larger and easier to read screen. This option includes an integrated USB port to charge your cell phone, useful if you intend to run your maps app while navigating. The thumb controls are mounted remotely from the screen to be within easy reach.

A note about Gear Sensors: If you are running an external drivetrain with a derailleur and multiple cogs on the back, the gearsensor is essential for smooth shifting and is entirely worth the effort and expense. Your motor will work without it, but the difference it makes is profound.  At our shop, we usually cut the shift housing and place the sensor in the line, and replace the original shift cable with a fresh one that doesn't fray at the end. If this sounds intimidating, you can use the supplied plastic ferrule that allows you to place the sensor between the shift housing and a cable stop, or between the housing and the derailleur itself. Either way will work, and you will be glad you did it.
